OMG..the background score was causing me go nuts.. how could they do it like that?? its terrible, music like that in a movie about history.. the combo is worst ever i think
shareThe first time I watched this years ago when it was released I thought the same as you that the soundtrack just didn't fit. Watched it again last night and actually enjoyed the soundtrack this time around. Oh how my tastes have changed over the years.

People!! I really don't mean to yell, but THIS IS NOT A HISTORICAL MOVIE any more than "Star Wars", "Prince of Thieves", "The Princess Bride" or Clive Cussler's "Sahara" is a historical movie. This was a comedy-romance; it's the kind of movie you could take your date to. You get your macho swordplay, jousting, and medieval costuming; she gets a romantic tale with a happy ending; and everybody goes home satisfied.

Yeah... the funny thing is, Comedy isn't even listed as a genre for this movie. Which baffles me, because it really was nothing but a very silly parody of the genre.
So, get a little informed before yelling at people on the internet, loser.
