Sutherland's voice ruined the twist

Well he has a distinctive voice specially if you were 24 fan. I knew it was him the moment I heard his voice which ruined what is supposed to be a twist at the end.
any one else?

There was no twist meat pie.

You're telling me you believed that the guy on the phone cut his own throat? Come on.

Having to listen his cheesy, cackling delivery of dialogue that made him sound like Ernst Stavro Blofeld in a naughty mood, ruined just about everything there was to ruin. The whole thing is ultimately a bunch of silly, moralizing rubbish with no real sense of tension or claustrophobia (look for a little Spanish film from 1972, La Cabina, for a similar set-up done well).

I thought he sounded too smart to be a sniper. Not to say snipers are dumb (lol), but why a smart guy like KF spends his time tormenting a PR guy in a phone booth. What's the payoff? I missed a half hour between 20 - 40 mins, so I'm not sure what the point of the sniper is. (I know it's only 20 mins and I'm sure they threw in a commercial or two, but the sniper talked to Katie Holmes last thing I saw, then Forrest Whitaker was on the scene with 100 cops. Don't know if he made any demands during that time, other than don't hang up and do what I say.)
Does seem like a taut thriller though.

I'm not a woman much less Deanna Durbin, but the old-time glam-shot appeals to me.

Ted Levine (Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs) voices a character over a CB radio called Rusty Nail in the movie Joy Ride and another actor that looks completely different played the character in person at the end of the movie.

I'm sure it's been done on other occasions too.
