Stupid premise

Why lock people up who never even committed any crimes, even if they were about to? Why would locking up technically innocent people solve anything? They should just be caught about to do it and let off with a stern warning, so they know then that they simply won't get away with it and it will act as the perfect deterrent.

I haven't seen this dumb movie since it came out, and this is exactly the reason why. Spielberg's worst, easily.

That's not a dumb idea.

In the UK they were attempting to do with with people who have a diagnosis of Antisocial Personality Disorder (sociopath). So, it's was a real issue.

The dumb part is the psychic mutant slaves. That is dumb and NOT science fiction.

It should have been some AI or something predicting outcomes.

reply

That's exactly the point of the story and why they canned the project at the end.

reply

kind of the whole point of the film - government overreach.
