First Time?

I remember the first time I ever played Metal Gear Solid. It wasn't even the entire game, but just a demo, i actually think I might have gotten it at Pizza Hut as like a promotional giveaway weird huh?...Oh well anyways I was hooked immediately. The demo covered the first bit of the game all the way until the DARPA chief(Decoy Octopus) dies in his cell. I was blown away. I had never and have not seen since a game so AMAZING. I got it when it came out and couldnt put it down after that. I still remember the first time I fought Psycho Mantis, the first time I learned Miller was Liquid and the first time I faced REX. So anyone else remember their first time with what can, without much argument, be called the greatest video game ever created?

oh man...the first time i played it much like everyone else...was on a demo..i think it was first a demo from pizza hut as well up untill darpa cheif died...then i had ANOTHER demo with MGS on it...but it was in some other language when they spoke and was a lot shorter...but i was like "i have to get this game" i didnt have the money to buy it at the time, so instead i rented it from a video store that use to be in the walmart here...and i remember playing it and was so wraped up in it i literally had spent a whole day, from the moment i woke to the moment i slept playing it, i was so determind to beat it.i can still remember my exact reaction when miller revelaed it was liquid, i fricken jumped and leaped off my ass and was like "WHAT?!" ...first one is still the best of them all...nothing can top that story line

Ehh, it's not the greatest game ever. That's up to a lot of debate, but there were better games in 1998 alone (Half-Life, Starcraft, Ocarina of Time). Anyway, I heard about the game a million times in 1998 and 1999, but I didn't have a PlayStation. I went on not playing MGS until early 2007, where I finally got Twin Snakes on GameCube. It didn't blow me away, and there were too many plot holes which kinda ruined the story for me. Cool game, but more of a novelty in my game playing experiences than anything else.

What does B.B. stand for anyway, Backstabbing Bastard? -Max Payne (2001)

I got a demo (with a game magazine I believe) with the beginning to the death of the DARPHA Chief scene part of the game. After I played it, I said "when the *beep* is this gonna come out?"
