As others have pointed out, a sequel would be rather odd, since the ending of Grim Fandango indicated that everyone was entitled to a Number 9 ticket after all and has either passed on or was sprouted. Still, I really enjoyed the fascinating combination of classic noir tribute and Latin American death-cults. I am sure there are more stories to be told about the Land of the Dead and its inhabitants, even if it's only to fill in some gaps between the years, especially Manny's time in Rubacava or his early years at the DoD. The possibilities for prequels are endless.
I'm still hoping TellTale will pick this franchise up sometime. Their Monkey Island episodes were pretty good (much better then MI4) and those Sam and Max games are pure works of genius for three seasons and counting.
