What the hell was wrong with 'Mom' for...

...when John and Tom come round near the end, holding a gun asking where Brandon is, and she tells them he's at Candace's house.

She knows how tempermental and unhinged John is, and even if she didnt care about what was going to happen to Brandon, surely she should have been thinking about Candace and the baby? And for all she knew, (which turns out to be the case), Lana could have been with Brandon.

Why doesn't she just say she doesn't know? Why doesn't she call the police immediately after they go?

I agree, it was a very stupid decision on her behalf to tell John about Brandon's whereabouts. However, John had brought a gun into her house, and above everything, she was mainly trying to protect herself and her daughter (Lana). Still, she did NOT have to tell John where Brandon actually was. She should have lied and said he was somewhere else other than at Candace's.

Oh so did she think that Lana was at home i.e not at Candace's house? I guess, yeh if he had a gun you would be really intimidated and might panic.

I could never tell if I liked the mother or not. She seemed to be on Brandon's side about the rape thing- like the way she said nobody deserved to have that done to them, and she was there for Lana after the murder. But she also called Brandon 'It' as in 'I don't want IT in the house.'

It's rumored Mom was involved with Brandon's murder. And I'd as much to blame as John and Tom.

That drunken whorey crusty old bytch enabled the whole thing. Instead of taking control with the whole situation, she caused alot of it to happen. She should have put Brandone Teenie in a car and driven her straight out of town, given her money and dump her in a far away town.

She wants to act all innocent and sophisticated in the documentary interview but she just screams LOW LIFE!!!

Skank, just like her daughter and those two miscreants who caused this person as well as other people DIE.

Personally, I believe that Lana was involved in the deaths, but the mother came to whisk her away before the cops got there.

They should all be incarcerated.

I think the mother is just a bitc* honestly. I saw the documentary and mostly everything happened because of her. Had she not freak out like she did, like a mature grown up women in control of her emotion, i don't think things would have been this bad. She made a really big deal out of Brandon lying about who he really was and even asked the poor girl to tell her the truth by pulling down her pants ! Come on, what sane person, ask something like that. I get Brandon lied, but really. I agree also that she could have lied about where brandon was, then go somewhere safe and call the police.

She's an accessory to murder. She should have at least call the cops and give them a heads up to where they were going.

Her mother seemed to be a heavy drinker, plus shes got that Lotter trashbag waving around a pistol. BUT she should have dialed 911 after the trashbags left. Her mother should have got prison time.
