Surely at times Jim Carrey voiced this in a Sean Connery type of accent!

Does anybody else think Jim Carrey frequently voiced the 'Grinch' character in a Sean Connery type of Scottish accent?!

At times it was so prevalent that I almost expected him to break into a "Miss Moneypenny . . ." address!!

It sure did seem like he was channeling Sean Connery at times

Yes!!! Just posted this question in another post.

I didn't get Sean Connery. It almost seemed like he was going for a fast-talking, turn-of-the-century broadcaster voice. The Sean Connery sound I think is more of a by-product of the fake teeth he was wearing.

I always assumed he talked that way because of the fake teeth he was wearing when playing the Grinch, but now that I think about it, he might very well have been channeling Sean Connery's Scottish accent when doing his lines.
