My favourite character from BG1 has got to be Alora. Shes not the best fighter but shes the best theif (in my opinion) in the game and the most funniest character in the game

Khalid. I don't even know why, I just like him. I was really sad about what happened to him in BGII.
I loved Minsc and Boo. You can't get much funnier than those two. Too bad I had to kill them on my first play.
I loved Xan, he always has something cynical to say.

I allways liked Mazzy for some reason. Small chic, sexy voice, acts like a pure knight.
As for character depth.......I would say Jaheira is the best fleshed-out character. But all in all. My vote goes to Mazzy.

The Iron Throne underdogs, mercenaries and assassins kicked ass. My favourite was Drasus. His british accent.. "I'd rather we just skip the small talk and get right to the killing." ^^
They all had such cool names as well in my opinion (Davaeorn, Kysus, Zhalimar, Haseo..)
From the companions my favourites were Xan and Xzar. They reminded me of myself.
This whole thread and only ONE mention of Viconia?! The insults Viconia hurled at everyone was classic anyway but the way she talked to Minsc was hilarious. Minsc wins for #2 in my book however. :-D

Most would agree that Minsc is the overall best NPC, but Tiax is my personal favorite.

I don't know why, but I liked Shar-Teel. She never really seemed evil like her alignment states. I was really surprised what she said when I removed her from the party. I was playing a male character too. I'm currently playing Baldur's Gate: 2, and I really miss her. She was amazing when I dualed her to a Fighter/Thief. Her back-stabs were so devastating.
I'm also liking Aerie a lot too. She is just so cute and innocent.
