Laugh Track

I just got the series on DVD and watched the first two episodes. I really like it, but the laugh track is killing me! It actually detracts from the show. Hey! You're supposed to laugh right----here! Anybody else feel like this?

If you watch the extras on the DVD you will see how Sorkin railed against the use of the laugh track. You'll also notice that he won that argument and it disappears eventually.

That's what I thought. I just watched a rerun from the first season on FXX and there's a fake laugh track. I assumed they got rid of it because I don't remember this show having one when I watched back in the day.

yeah the laugh track in the early episodes is so blatant and fake sounding. also so pointless and lame.

I hate laugh tracks. They insult your intelligence by trying to emotionally manipulate you. I know that sounds like going overboard, but that's the way I feel.

They turned down the volume on the laugh track more and more each episode until finally it disappears.
