In the Louise Revisited Esposito 1999 the CC has a very offensive Slur. Casey and Dana are discussing one of her high school Spanish Class member's who is named Cab Callaway. Casey said, "Cotton Club". I can't believe my eyes but my TV displayed, "Coon Club". This needs to be corrected ASAP.
shareThat is bad, but I suspect it happened because, as it will often do, the CC text got behind or lost its timing. Since 'coon' is 'cotton' w/out the t's, it's more likely an unfortunate coincidence than misinterpretation of the dialogue on their end.
shareLittle known fact: captions are sent out in packets of two letters at a time. So if there was a problem in the broadcast -- poor antenna connection -- and some frames were missed it's easy for a pair of letters to not appear.
