NOT IMPRESSED

I expected more. This film was just dissappointing and uninteresting. the girl the main character falls in love with is simply terrible. she sounded as though she was reading straight from a script she had never seen before. Her overly hihg voice was more than annoying.

I found the whole subplot with the ex-thug friend stupid... the dancing was wooden... shall I continue? LOL

yea it was bad. and yes that grl's voice was annoying especially when she was announcing the performance at the party she sounded like she was 5 years old. this movie was boring and predictable too cliche

Not impressed? Dancing was wooden? I guess the producer/writer/director was trying to wallpaper fog, huh? I was impressed because it was beautiful and musical. I know some high school seniors, and I know some thug wannabees who try to mess up anything that looks fine. Want to ugly up the world.

I'd say the dancing looked rehearsed, in sync, and the way it's supposed to be. Not just getting out on the floor and shrugging shoulders.

This film looked to me like every dollar that was put into it is up there on the screen, and the kids are beautiful.

Re: voice a lot of Asians especially young women have a higher tone than Americans are used to. I thought she sounded fine.
Re:dance. I liked it. It looked like a bunch of friends got together to do. Not a professional stage show. this was a family gathering with friends and family providing the entertainment. How many of your relatives can dance like a broadway musical. I know at my family weddings it pretty much looked like what they showed. I thought it was good that they very good but not great dancers.
Re: subplot. I thought the sub plot was necessary so that Ben could peak into the father/grandfather relationship. Without the fight he would never have felt empathy for his dad.
