just nitpicking but: christopher walken's skull's got normal teeth...

...but then, wehn he grows his flesh back, he's got these sharp things? what's that all about?

They looked sharp to me.

Maybe I need to watch it again?

Yeah, they were always pointed.

reply

um they were always pointed! watch the hessian scenes in the begining with the story. his teeth are always pointy! what are you talking about?

reply

Yeah he filed his teeth and made them sharp to add to the ferocity of his appearance.

reply

I think the OP understands that. He just thinks that when we see the skull WITHOUT the flesh, it doesn't have those pointed teeth. A photo another poster posted seemed to confirm that the skull DID have pointed teeth, but I do have to admit the teeth look different than those of Christopher Walken.

reply

Then again...it's not Walken playing the role for the main parts of the movie, the stunts are by Ray Park, aren't they?

reply

Yes, Ray Park did do the stunts, but we're talking about a bodyless skull here, a specially made prope. Besides, we never see Ray Park's head in the movie.

reply

I'm guessing that the flesh growing part was in cgi, the teeth when Walken had them were prosphetics like you know...what they sometimes use for vampire teeth in vampire movies sometimes.

I actually had to take a closer look at the skull in that scene, the teeth were pointed but while they didn't exactly match Walken's persay...it was pretty close.

reply

There seemed to be a bit more space between Walken's teeth, so perhaps the OP was thrown off by that. But the skull in the CGI scene and the one Depp's holding (which is also on the posted picture) definitely also have pointed teeth.

reply

I'm still going by the retractable teeth theory with the skull though, because i've seen that in other horror movies too.

reply

I thought the same thing and rewinded to watch again. They were sharp both ways but it was much more obvious with the flesh on the skull. I think the skull prop had more teeth in it.

It was too big. You can see it shrink as it gets covered with flesh.
