how old are fans?

I was just wondering how old fans of this movie are? whether you were the same age as the characters/older/younger?

reply

I'm 29 now. I was 17 or 18 when I first watched it, so I was the same age as the characters at the time.

First viewing, upper 40s and loved it. I have a rule: never stop a movie. When I first saw this, I was about to at about 20-30 minutes in. But I'm glad I didn't. I watched it again last night and it still holds up, even more so, even though I'm now 56 YO. I don't think you have to be young to understand this.

I'm 45 and I love this movie. Saw it in my early 30's and liked it then. I think I started out being like Enid and ended up being like Seymour. I've always been attracted to retro styled things even before it was popular. I still seem to like movies and music that most people have never heard of or don't like.

Saw it for the first time today. I'm 20 :)

Why would you care?

I first saw this movie when I was nine. Something about it attracted my little nine year old brain. Now that I'm nearing 19 I can really relate to it and that's pretty sad.

I first saw the film when I was eighteen, and it instantly became my all-time favorite film. I'm twenty-two now, and it's still my favorite. It's funny, depressing, and captures adolescence perfectly.
