Has anyone noticed how much the new D.O.M's suck now?

Oh yeah, I watched that one show, that was on the other night, with the girl whose journal was accidentally turned in as an assignment, then became famous, and lost all her friends... it was so cheesy. the older ones from the 90s were good.
Brink (my favorite), Genius, I didn't like can of worms that much, um... most of the 90s movies i liked. but i already said that.

does anyone else notice this pattern... Its in Eddie's Million Dollar Cook Off,Highscholl Musical, and Jump In...

the whole plot is a main character that has a great future in a certain sport that their dad coaches them in. then suddenly they get off track with different interests that other people such as their friends call "girly". They then have to choose between doing them because each has a huge event happening on the same day

Oh my gosh, you are so right! i never even noticed that, but i have noticed how crappy the DOMs have. C'mon HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. I don't understand how any one can like that lame and completley stupid movie. Although Jump in and Eddies Million Dollar. . . was right there with it. LAME!!!

I can't believe people are still talking on this board. My favorite Disney Movies were:

Alley Cats Strike
Brink!
Genius
Johnny Tsunami
The Luck of the Irish
The Other Me
P.U.N.K.S.
Smart House
Up, Up, and Away

I watched the Disney Channel Original Movies from October 1997 (Under Wraps) to November 2003 (Full-Court Miracle).

I'm glad they took some of the dumb ones off. I really never cared for the Disney original movies, but heard this one was good. I'm sure in 10 years when High School Musical joins the list of scrapped movies, kids today will be like 'hey, they need to air this again! Sign a petition'.

Let's not forget about Airborne. That's really old school DCM right there. That was before they had them every month.

wow,i thought i was the only one.But old disney original movies kicked some major arse.

They also used to make more of them. Was it just me or did it seem like they had made more of them. I looked it up online and in 1999 they made 8, 2000=10, 2001=12, 2001=10. They only made 4 in 2007!

Back in the 90's and early 2000's when I was watching the Disney Channel a lot I remember them putting a new original movie out once a month.

reply

We all say this the movies now suck because our child hood is over....and we love the old ones because we grew up with them. kids now will watch these Disney movies n all these sucky cartoons n when get to our age they will think it was best movies.

I still like to watch id movies and shows at 17 and they do suck. I like Caroline, the new little mermaid, and bolt was cute. So for me I don't think thats it. I really think Disney has gone down. Plus they ruined Twitches for me they were my favorite books when I was little. Kids shows are dumbed down now, they teat kids a lot different. In the 90's we had Batman the animated series, gargoyles, darkwing duck, thundercats, x-men tv show, daria, sabrina the teenage witch, so werid, and many other great shows. Now they have dumbed down shows, My favorite Dcom movies are

Suzi Q
Airborne
Brink
Wish Upon a Star
Motercrossed

It's funny how the colors of the real world only seem really real when you viddy them on the screen
