Why are the Angels in this so blindly loyal to Charlie?

Think about it for a moment. They've never personally met Charlie Townsend before or even know what he looks like physically. Sure, he hired them and believes in them, but still, I'm not going to think that this dude is all lovey-dovey when I don't know anything about him beyond the speaker box.

On the TV series, the Angels didn't 100% trust Charlie. Lindsay Ellis, while doing her Nostalgia Chick review of this movie even played a clip from the TV series in which Jaclyn Smith says to Bosley that she doesn't know what the deal is with that "mythical boss" of theirs. So it wasn't so "black and white" unlike in the latter movie. Basically, I wouldn't be so emotionally attached to a man that I simply do business with on the far-side.
