British TV

Kind of a random spot to post this, but if you read you'll get why.

It seems a bit more common in Britain to have a more relaxed attitude about renewing shows. They don't seem so gung-ho about always renewing at the same time every year. More just they'll "happen" to renew it at "some point" maybe. I feel like this is both good and bad. Good because it allows shows to be renewed for more organic reasons. Can lead to higher-quality stories. But bad because that makes it harder to do serialized arcs across seasons, and a show's end could occur without anyone even knowing it's the end.

I feel like it's a trend we're seeing more of here now with revivals and such.
