i thought this was one of the most awful Patrick Swayze movie that I have ever seen!!! It dosent have much of a story line and its very hard to follow!! Me and my one friend have seen every Patrick Swayze movie and we could hardly stay awake during this!! i think its the worst movie ever made!!!

Yeah, I only liked it for the dancing. The acting seemed extremely forced and overreaching to me, even Patrick's, and I don't usually get that impression from him.
Maybe I just have a problem with very very very very very very very forceful expression.

On some levels I agree with you but I did enjoy the ballet aspect of the movie. I thought it was an honest portrayal of what dancers go through. I also appreciated the timeline, seeing how these dancers were adapting to the past, what challenges they faced, and how they plan to overcome them. It had an indie feel in a comforting way. Yes, the acting was a bit forced, the writing could have been better, but the ballet made up for that...at least for me.

I am watching Steel Dawn and thought I recognized the main female role in the movie so i did some googling and it was Patricks wife. Then I went on to finding out about this movie your talking about, The Last Dance. Now I am a movie fanatic and I thought I had seen or at least heard of all of Patricks movies but I had never even heard of this one. That means it was a flop and its not even been on cable and if has its like on once every 3 years and if you miss it you have to wait another 3. It has to be bad then. You can like dancing all you like but a movie has to have some plot with some good romance if it has Pat in it to be good , At least Road House even had that and action. I'll have to check this out now for sure. And BTW as little as there has been said here about the movie , that says a lot right there how much the movie is a dead movie in the mist of all the millions that are out there. I found Steel Dawn on line to buy and some are selling the DVD for like $4.99 and some are selling it from $69.00 to $129.00, There crazy. Good luck with getting a sap to buy it for those prices. I'll buy it used for the $4.99.And One Last Dance is going for $8.99.Patrick was a good guy but he did much better dancing then he did with acting. He had 3 movies through his whole career that stand out and thats Dirty Dancing, my all time fav, and Ghost to which honestly after you have seen the movie 20 times it losses his pazazz. And I really dont care for Demi and Road House. I do miss him though and its just sad we all lost him. I read his wife has just now taken his last name and also has just started dating someone.

I agree what a nightmare. Terrible directing and writing. No on screen chemistry with his own wife. She was just a whiny bitch.
None of the storyline made any sense or brought any connection to or emotion to the characters. When they all had thrir whiny cry baby moment I wanted to slap them all. Ugh.
The dancing was nice but so drawn out i had to skip most of it all.
The kid story line was obvious from the second she said bree is here.
