Probably the dullest movie ever made.

This could possible be the most boring movie of all time. It is so boring I will never forget the experience of sitting through this. How could the same director of TOOTSIE and THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR make such a dreadful and dull movie? Harrison Ford gave one of the worst performances in movie history. Did he think he was in a George Romero zombie movie? It got to a point where the audience would break into laughter every time a new scene would come on because nobody in the theater could believe a movie could be this LONG and AWFUL. I remember a scene at the airport where Ford was walking with Thomas and they are walking so slow and it was so boring and all of a sudden Ford takes out a sack and pulls out a sandwich and we have to sit there and watch them eat for another ten minutes, I've never seen anything like this film. I will never forget this experience ....EVER.

Disappointing, especially coming from Sydney Pollack. Harrison Ford is so stoic, and Kristin Scott Thomas so emotionless, it makes for a very tiresome movie. Great supporting cast, but not much of a story.

What were they thinking???

You obviously haven't seen The Girl On The Train, yet. One hundred fifty two minutes of utter monotony.

Life is pain. Anyone who says differently is selling something.

I disagree. It's more leisurely paced than audiences might care for, but I admired it for trying to portray two people that form a relationship through shared grief and coming to terms with their respective spouses' infidelity. Harrison Ford is not playing one of his larger-than-life characters, he's playing someone who's doubly distraught by his wife's death and her unfaithfulness. And it takes him a long time to accept that.
