What is funny about teenagers getting killed?

Absolutely nothing. Not only is this movie not funny but it is disgusting and it has all of my least favorite things about movies in it. It has cliches, bad acting, bad direction, bad production, that crap about a dorky girl becoming popular and a popular girl being remorseful. What is funny about his movie? It is labeled as a comedy but it is merely a worthless attempt at making a bunch of unbelievably evil and stupid girls into characters with some remote form of intelligence. The actors should be ashamed for being in this movie. Anyone agee?

The girl dying is not the funny part. The friend mourning is not the funny part. The man getting framed for murder is not funny. The completely unrealistic belief of the queen bee that she can manipulate her way out of anything is. I laughed about their nail polish colors (foreshadowing through ditsy fashion conversations). The contradiction between the music and action in the last scene made me laugh.
I think to appreciate this movie you have to enjoy sarcastic, ironic, and dark humor.

It's called "Dark Comedy". Look it up. :)

I know what you mean about cliches, I spot them and see them too. Isn't it annoying when it seems like no one else gets tired of the same high school 'comedies'/romantic 'comedies'? Ugh.

However, I do understand the dark comedy. There are some funny points, and some edge to the direction.

I don't think it's fair to call it another comedy like 'Bring It On' or something. Because it is a black comedy, and they stay true to that genre, so I have to give kudos for staying within their boundaries.

What's funny about teenagers being killed?

Well, nothing and everything.

It's a dark comedy. The whole point of dark comedy is to make fun of dark and generally unfunny subject matter- usually death.

Some people don't like dark comedies and that's fine. But some people have a dark sence of humor and they do. Just like some people like silly or slapstick or campy humor while others don't. It's just a matter of taste.

Dark humour is disturbing. It's meant to be. That is exactly where the humor lies. Some get it, some don't.

This movie has always been one of my favorites. I love dark comedy, and I thought this one pushed just far enough. The dialogue cracks me up and I love some of the subtle and not so subtle references to the movie Carrie! (another one of my favorites)Plus it has Pam Grier which instantly makes it HOT!lol...not to mention Rose McGowan!

Not exactly sure what agee means but teenagers getting killed of COURSE is not funny.

But there's a lot of that in straight up horror/slasher movies, as well as dark comedies like this movie.

I happened to think this movie was pretty good, rated it a solid "7".

That comment kinna helped me be able to explain what dark comedy is for: making fun of how morbid people are. People line up to pay $9 to watch the latest and most realistic looking and terrifying bloody massacre movie. People slow down to look at car accidents. It is making fun of the disgusting parts of being a human. It is just a matter of taste for where a person stops finding it funny.

Here is my list, from grey to black, of dark comedies and where I draw the line:

Mean Girls - funny
The Addams Family - funny
Jawbreaker - funny
The Heathers - borderline
Pretty Persuasion - disturbing

clearly you don't understand dark humor. it's funny because the way they do it. and the dialog isn't serious at all nor is the tone. There is no way Courtney and company could get away with killing Liz with a Jawbreaker. plus the sure fact that she killed her with a Jawbreaker is hilarious. I guess you have to get dark humor to like this movie.

Jill - You just won't die, will you? Who are you? Michael *beep* Myers? I don't think so.

It's the same type of humor as "Serial Mom", starting Kathleen Turner. There's nothing funny about a woman who kills people because she they reject her daughter, or just because they wear white after Labor Day. What's funny is the movie's treatment of the subject. It is very tongue-in-cheek. The very "flippant" dialog is a dead give-away, if nothing else.
