What is funny about teenagers getting killed?

Absolutely nothing. Not only is this movie not funny but it is disgusting and it has all of my least favorite things about movies in it. It has cliches, bad acting, bad direction, bad production, that crap about a dorky girl becoming popular and a popular girl being remorseful. What is funny about his movie? It is labeled as a comedy but it is merely a worthless attempt at making a bunch of unbelievably evil and stupid girls into characters with some remote form of intelligence. The actors should be ashamed for being in this movie. Anyone agee?

reply

Yes, because it was meant to be serious.

Haven't you heard of black comedy? Heathers is a perfect example.

reply

Yes, this movie was worthless.

I've got to agree. I am a HUGE movie freak and I'll often watch a "bad" movie all the way through just to see how it ends. But I stopped not even half way with this movie when the "dorky girl is changed into cool and at school for the first time". I just turned it off. I couldn't stand it.

Not paying attention to your gay ass message, gonna focus on your heading. What ISN'T funny about teenagers getting killed? If you are older or younger, damn---you'd love for them to be killed. It's only a tragedy when they do it to one another--otherwise it's kind of understandable...

Fair enough if you didn't like it but why do you need to know if people agree with you? Even if a million people agree with you, doesn't make you right.

It's a film. whether it's good or bad depends on the individual.

I personally I loved the movie. I never considered it to be a comedy though, and was surprised to find it in the comedy section of the video store.

I don't see anything funny about the death and still feel uncomfortable whenever I watch the kidnap scene, but that being said, I think you've completely missed the tone of the movie.

This movie has "dark comedy", when you're not familiar with that humor,
you can think the stories are completely serious.

I remember the first time I watched "Six Feet Under" and thought,
it was a very serious series, then, I realize it has humor but it was still serious.
At least the first and second season were more subtle,
the other seasons made it clear it has comedy.

The dark comedy or black comedy makes fun of serious and taboo topics like death,
murders, rapes, executions, etc. Do you know where this type of comedy was used
by common people? It was used in Jewish ghettos in the WWII.

The characters make a lot of jokes through this movie. In the case of Courtney,
she makes jokes in those especial situations. Just analyze her dialogues and you'll see, she's being funny.

By the way, I noticed this: "I'm Detective Vera Cruz". Nice n...name?
Her name is like Veracruz, a state and a city in Mexico.
All Right, "Cruz" is a Spanish surname, but that character name is
like introducing an American character in a foreign movie, in a foreign language
and his name would be: "My name is Fort, Fort Worth Texas".
Now, other character names have a pun in it, implicit and explicit,
especially, Elizabeth Purr and Fern Mayo.

Now, here's some quotes from this movie:

[After they've kidnapped to Liz]
- She is gonna die! It's so much better than last year.
- I wish my friends did that for me.
- Yeah, right. You'd have us killed.
- Brutally maimed, my dear.

- Liz is... Dead. Liz is dead. Do you have any idea what that means?
- You're a shoo-in for prom queen?

[When they're taking the corpse to the room]
That is no 105 pounds.

[After the crime scene was staged as a rape scene]
- How's that?
- Very natural.
- Thank you.

[Courtney] It's not like we kill people. On purpose.

- In junior high, I wore only pink. Now it makes me puke. So I change.
See? It's called Demented. Seriously, the color's called Demented.
- Mine? Decayed.

I don't care if your little sister locks herself in the kitchen freezer,
Courtney Shane is priority one. Get it?
