Surprised this isn't a thread on here!

Jawbreaker vs. Heathers.

Myself I prefer Jawbreaker.

Heathers is just too negative. There really aren't any 'good guys' in that flick. Veronica Sawyer was still complicit in how many murders? Also I don't care for J.D., I only like Christian Slater in 'good guy' roles.

Jawbreaker has clear good guys! I love rooting for Julie in this flick! Yes I also have a tremendous crush on her as well, LOL! Also Zack seems like a cool regular dude.

Jawbreaker also has a more interesting style. Like it starts out with alot of real bright '80s type clothes, then like later Julie is wearing these like '70s style outfits like jean jackets and stuff. In addition there are other cool cliques at the school. Heathers is just all late '80s all the time.

Oh Jawbreaker has a better soundtrack too with Veruca Salt and Imperial Teen.

Not even close, Heathers is better in every aspect.

We made a land where crap is king, and the good don't last too long.

I like both movies, but I prefer Jawbreaker.

Heathers is funny but overrated. Jawbreakers was funny too and more enjoyable.

Heathers is wittier, better written, and drastically better acted, but it is a lot darker. I think Heathers is objectively the better movie, but it makes sense that some would prefer Jawbreaker because it's sillier, lighter, and more contemporary.

I prefer Jawbreaker. I only got around to seeing Heathers a few months ago and I honestly just didn't care for it much. It was witty and dark, and I can see why people like it. But I guess it just didn't do much for me and my expectations were too high because of all the constant praise for it I've seen over the years.

On the other hand I acknowledge Jawbreaker's faults but I still can't help but love it. It's such a guilty pleasure.

I had the same experience. Heathers was pretty good and has a lot of funny lines (loved the football funeral) but it wasn't as good as I had been told. I saw Jawbreaker when I was a lot younger and still love it.

Is this turnout weak or what? I had at least 70 more people at my funeral.

I prefer Jawbreakers, but Fern looked over 30 so that was a little strange...

I prefer Jawbreaker, I just felt like Heathers was too all over the place. I didn't care about any of the characters. The death of Heater was not shocking at all and it was a little too stupid if you ask me. She drank a whole glass of chemical, like a shot, she didn't notice it till after she drank it all? I have to think that stuff must have an awful taste for her to not question what she's drinking. At least in Jawbreaker, the girl was killed during a prank.

I felt more tension in Jawbreaker and the characters actually had more of a story that the audience might care about. Plus, Julie was the good guy and Violet was the good girl turned bad turned good again. In Heathers, everyone was psycho and Veronica didn't care about what she had done, either that or the complete cast was awful at acting.

Plus, I don't see why Heathers and Jawbreaker are compared, they're both high school films with rich popular girls and a death of one of the popular girls. I've seen many other projects with the same theme.

Those are two different movies that are hard to compare. Maybe the Jawbreakers people were trying to so a Heathers type thing but they didn't achieve it. Personally I like both movies. But Heathers is a representation of our darkest views and attitudes in high school. And we knew people like the 3 different Heathers. We all felt like Veronica at some point. The characters in Jawbreakers were less authentic. But both have buying dialogue and an interesting plot.

Yeah. Plus I kind of hated Heathers. Unfunny, horrible characters, Christian and Winona were annoying in it.

Rose is a really good mean girl, sort of in a cliche 90s way. and yes, it did have clear "good" guys. It was also visually just better.

We're collecting dust, but our love's enough.
