'Flair' makes no sense

I get and have been trying to educate about the signifigance and point of all the 'you are not wearing enough flair'-scenes, but there's another thing about the 'flair' that doesn't make sense.

The restaurant managers want their employees not to WEAR more, but they want them to 'WANT to wear more'. That's a tricky business, because it trespasses inside of the free will of the employees. They can't just order them to wear more, because the motivation of wearing more would be wrong.

However, since they 'encourage' their staff to wear more 'flair', and Ryan or Bryan or whatever his name was, is wearing 37 pieces of 'flair', there is a weird problem.

What if he wanted to wear more? He couldn't. Obviously they are not allowed to pin the 'flair' onto their shirts, so the only available place is the 'suspenders' that they also wear for some reason ('flair' can't be the only one).

(By the way, if they really wanted to prank the boss, they could misinterpret 'flair' to mean 'flare', and just wear some giant flares in their pants.. ok, maybe I am talking out of my donkey, but why the heck does english pronunciation not make any sense? Two separate words should NOT sound the same! (also, the same, exact written word should not be pronounced differently based on different meanings))

So they want the staff to wear more 'flair', but they don't provide the means to! Also, is the quantity more important than size? I mean, volumetrically speaking, five big pieces of 'flair' might take more room and thus look bigger than ten small pieces of 'flair'. Did the boss think this through?

My MAIN point, however, is that since the suspenders are so thin and narrow, WHERE are the staff members supposed to wear all this 'flair'? Couldn't they at least provide uniforms that SUPPORT a massive amount of flair? Couldn't they let them at least pin the 'flair' onto the shirts or something? Give them a big STASH or something instead of two tiny suspenders, hello?!

So they want them to wear more, but then they don't provide a uniform that would support that idea? CONTRADICTION in what they want and what's possible, when this could be SO easily rectified by making bigger suspenders, making a tiny design change onto the uniforms so 'flair' could be worn way more and so on.. but nope, they 'demand the impossible', in the end.

Whether it's 15 or 37 pieces, it's hard to quite tell the difference, especially if the 15 are big ones and the 37 are smaller ones. The number shouldn't matter as much as VISIBILITY of the 'flair', and here is where those tiny suspenders become a RIDICULOUSLY stupid idea.

Also, I get the point of the 'boss passively-aggressively demand that you bend to their will without taking responsibility on it', but does it have to be a visual, visible thing that the customers can easily see? Wouldn't it make more sense for it to be something the customers have no idea about, but would be obvious to the boss, so at least the style of the restaurant could be kept at a maximum, optimal level without DEPENDING on the staff members' free will about it?

I mean, none of this makes any sense no matter how you try to slice it...

That was the point. I assume you are posting because you are bored.
