THE COOLEST. Truth: I absolutely wanted to be her after seeing this movie because SHE JUST DOESN’T CARE. Do you know who she is? Janice from Mean Girls. Minus the Damien, who, we will now assume going forward, is somewhere putting meat on his face at the cafeteria table.

I also see similarities with the '80s movie Just One of the Guys, which is also about an aspiring female journalist who has to go undercover (albeit here, as a male) at high school and Peggy Sue Got Married with Kathleen Turner. Like in Never Been Kissed with Drew Barrymore, Peggy Sue Got Married concerns a woman who suddenly gets a chance to relive her time in high school but now from an adult perspective.

Hiding Out with Jon Cryer is another movie from the '80s which like Never Been Kissed, is about the adult main protagonist having to go undercover at high school.
