Why Do Protestants...

...insist on picking on the Catholic Church when they recite the Apostles' Creed that says "I believe in the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting"?

Don't any of them realize what they are saying there? Don't they KNOW what Catholic means?? For the love of God, they should!! It's pretty important!

It means "universal." But, since the Reformation, when Luther pulled away (or was driven, depending upon which way you look at it) from the Church Universal, all Protestants have been heretics, because they have chosen to separate themselves from the true Church. Even Luther acknowledged that it was the true Church.

They tore asunder the Mystical Body of Christ. They reduced the Church's "universality." And now they can't even take responsibility for having basically crucified the One over again.

I'm a Christian. I don't say that. I choose to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, directly with him. I don't have to go through a human to have that relationship, and I don't have to confess my sins to a man with no business knowing them to be forgiven.

Neither do Catholics for that matter, but such is what they believe.

"True" church? You do know that the bible warned against divisions in the church, right? Personally, I believe that the Catholic church is pretty far off from what the church should be. It should not be driven by rituals. I don't believe that saints should be prayed to. I'm niether Catholic or Protestant, but I think you're very confused.

Jesus is the Word of God. To deny the Word of God is to deny Jesus Christ. The Roman Catholic Church denies the word of God. The Church has doctrine stating that the Catechisms and laws of the Chruch are the ultimate authority even when in direct contradiction with the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible is the Word of God. Jesus Christ is the Word of God. 77.4% of Catholic Doctrine is in direct defiance of Scripture. Most Catholics do not know this because they are taught not to interpret Scripture themselves. Up until the 1950's the Bible was not allowed to be read and interpreted by Catholics as a Church Law. The Roman Catholic Church had the Holy Bible on it's list of banned books for over 500 years. This is historical fact. The Council of Trent declared that any person found to have a Bible was to be deemed a heretic and the Bible was to be burned and the owner truned over to Inquisitors. The Roman Catholic Church is the Whore of Babylon in Revelation.

Every Law, doctrine, Catechism, and piece of Dogma that the Church has vomited out is a weakening of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. All seven "holy sacraments" are executed to take salvation out of the hands of faith and Christ and place them into the hands of man. Paul wrote an entire book about this. The whole idea of sacraments and further sacrifice are dealt with to such an exhaustive extent that no one should ever get it wrong. Even funnier, the letter that Paul wrote that dealt with all this was his letter to the Chruch of...wait for it....ROME!!!!!! Read the Book of Romans. Period.

Hmmm whatever happened to turning the other cheek?

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven

There is one who has the authority to judge. That person is God. To judge another is blasphemous as you are comparing yourself to God. If someone believes in a different religion or different branch/teachings of the same religion, let them. God gave them free will and who are we to interfere? Forgive them and love them as they are, it is how God made them.

To condemn another is to condemn yourself.
