Did anyone ask for a new Barney Series?

Well a new animated Barney Series is coming to HBO Max and Cartoon Network next year. I was too old to watch it in the 90s but remember the hatred my Aunt had for the show as I had a new Cousin at the time who liked the PBs show as young kid. I'm curious what the reaction will be to the new series.
