The part when Travolta says "This must be one of those Freudian" and then abruptly finishes his sentence...

... and punches Peter Weireter's character...

Did anyone else think, intentionally or otherwise, that this scene was basically setting the mood and telling the audience in advance about what kind of movie this was going to be? A sort of unwitting act of foreshadowing on actor's and/or filmmaker's behalf and kind of breaking the fourth wall in a way?

And in terms of basically what kind of movie this was going to be, based on Travolta saying "Freudian" and then delivering a punch - an entertaining and not too serious Blockbuster-type of movie but with at least some PRETENSIONS of intellect and seriousness that at least a little aims and tries for more but without ultimately being or wanting TOO much to really BE that "more"?

Maybe that part was unintentional and maybe I am somewhat reading a little too much into it. But did anyone else catch it and feel this way? That this scene basically was foreshadowing and telling an audience in advance about what type of movie this was going to be and that ultimately it turned out to be this way?

What do you think, thanks.

I personally think it was, yeah, might've even been intentional on Travolta's or writer's part.
