Technically shouldn't Chucky have to find Tyler?

Seeing as he was the last person he told his secret too and he didn't really get a new body in this movie, he just got stitched back together. So if he wanted to transfer his soul into a body it'd have to be Tyler's.

Thats what i love about these high school girls, i get older they stay the same age.

I guess it's a rewrite like Chucky needing that Heart of Demballa thing that he didn't say he needed in the first three films.

Wasn't the plot with Andy that he needed to transfer into his body because he was the first person he told the secret, too? Not the last person?

Which would mean he should still be looking for Andy, not Tyler.

Its clearly said in this by Chucky that he's in a new body, which means he can tell someone new his secret and will then be able to transfer his soul into their body. The entire plot of this movie is Chunky manipulating Tyler to try and takeover his body, not sure how you didn't pick up on that.

So the first person Chucky told his secret to in his new body was Tyler, thus meaning Andy is no longer important to Chunky because Tyler is the one he's after now.

The way I always understood it was that too much time has now passed since the events of CP3 for him to get his soul into another body via the usual method (see the factory scene in CP2) and now he needs the amulet to get his soul into another (any) body.

It's all very wonky mythology, but you have to sort of let these things slide a bit when watching these movies.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

Ah yes thats true, i forgot about the time frame he has, so in a way the amulet would make sense. So yeah it would be too late to take over Tyler's body.

I really couldn't with the logic after part 2. I mean it was too late at the end of part 2, but 8 years later in part 3 chucky can somehow find a new body to transfer his soul into. This was never explained by the voodoo guy in the first one. Chucky just states it in part 3 like its been know or its a definite fact.
