If Jennifer Tilly hadn't accepted the role as Tiffany...

...what other actress could you picture being her?

As Child's Play buffs know, Don Mancini wrote the role of Tiffany specifically with Jennifer Tilly in mind. She accepted the role, much to his surprise as it's unusual in show business to actually get your first choice.

Tilly was obviously perfect for the part. If she hadn't have taken it though, I think Cathy Moriarty (Raging Bull, Soapdish, Casper, Kindergarten Cop) would have given us an awesome and memorable Tiffany as well. She too has a sexy and distinct voice and can pull off psychotic and villainous.

I agree, but I think this is one of those roles where really it is only made for ONE person only. Jennifer Tilly IS Tiffany Lee Ray.

The more personalities you have the less boring you are!

It's an interesting thought. Truth be told, I couldn't imagine anyone else as Tiffany.

Though if this film were made today, I wouldn't mind seeing Christina Hendricks, ahem, "fill out" that role.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

i doubt anyone else could've pulled off the many aspects of tiffany that jennifer brought to the role, there are a lot of actresses that can do sexy, sexy psycho, broken, goth, sexy goth, maternal, cartoonish, corny but not over the top, but not all at once.

if i had to TRY i could say..maybe joan cusack (before you say she can't be sexy just watch addams family values), jenny mc carthy (just watch dirty love), or kirsten wiig (also hot, can play psycho and do drama too) and her comedic timing would've fit the tone of the movie perfectly, and all 3 have very distinctive voices as well.

It's hard to picture anyone else in the role.
