I thought this wawatching the worst of Brosnans Bonds and the worst Bond overall....The plot is so complex, Strange, and pointless...the action was ok but overall I just felt the plot was so bad I couldn't click with the movie. Not sure what it was but Bond didn't feel like Bond...Also right when Denise Richards was introduced and muttered her first words, I wanted to stop watching.

On the other hand Sophie Marceau is one of the best.

shareWorst Bond film? No way, not even close... it's MUCH better than films like QoS, AVTAK, NSNA, OP, MR, DAD, TMWTGG, & DAF. I'd place it around my 11th - 12th favorite Bond.
As for worst Bond girl? No way. Denise may had given a bad performance, but the character is very good. Christmas/Richards comes nowhere to being as bad as Tanya Roberts.
I'm gonna say it's not the worst Bond movie ever, but it's the worst Brosnan bond movie. Well, it's hard to say if it's worse than DAD. But in my opinion this movie commits a worse offense, it manages to be boring. It does a lot of your standard bond stuff, but it's just so forgettable.
I liked a couple scenes such as Q's retirement, but where as I'd put TND and Goldeneye in my top 5 - this movie is lower on the list. Maybe better than a lot of the Moore ones.
Even back when I saw this in theaters as a kid I remember being disappointed after liking Goldeneye and TND so much.
Denise's character is pretty bad to be honest. Cheesy introduction, stupid name, bad outfit, and introduced very far into the movie. She's awful. And to make it even worse she's following two great Bond girls from Tomorrow Never Dies. To be fair the other Bond girl (elektra I think?) in this movie was very good imo.
This is one of my favorite Bond movies.
Cool villains, good theme song, good plot, good scenes, good villain anomalies, Valentin's fun...

shareIt's hard to discern which of the #2,3,4 Brosnan movies are the worst. Each of them has their plusses and minuses. Goldeneye is obviously the best. Yeah, I agree about Richards. Great to look at, but when she opened her mouth! I've got to say, though, I think that Elektra is probably my 2nd favorite villain. I was SO satisfied when Bond killed her! One of the most satisfying villain deaths of all the Bond films.
shareThe only Bond film which I've never watched more than once. Almost all the others have at least a little rewatch merit, but this one has no entertainment value whatsoever, it's dull as toothache from beginning to end.
