To those offended by the false history

Okay as one guy said the USA steals history because we don't have any of our own, bla bla.

However, the real question here is "What would you all have us do?"

Who is going to enforce "Responsible, ethical, accurate and politically correct" history?

So you're all suggesting that the US government approve all movies before they go out? Should this be done through the State Department or the Ministry of Love? Ministry of Peace?

While we're at it we should also regulate books written for ENTERTAINMENT for historical accuracy, we should also have a gov. department that does this for the newspapers, the Internet, all school textbooks (public and private).

Give me a break people. What we need is people who do what many of us here on IMDB did, we went to Google and typed "Wikipedia u571" or typed "Wikipedia wwII enigma coding" and read the truth about this and realized we just saw a stylized movie.

The British have a wonderful term for what many British people are suggesting we do in America, it's called a "Nanny State" - aka Socialism/Communism.

In America we have something called the Bill of Rights (which includes freedom of speech) - unfortunately, Big Brother seems more pallatable to people worldwide these days. Soon we will have that wonderful Ministry of Truth everyone seems so anxious for, thus ensuring as Orwell, so wonderfully illustrated, that we will then have iron-fisted government controlled propaganda rather than harmless entertainment.
