Did anybody like this movie? (A litlle spoiler)

I just looked at the thread, and couldn't find any positive threads about this movie, so I'm asking if anybody thought it was good.

I liked it. Mostly because it's not like most american crap-love stories, you see all the time. I thought that Ben was going to go with Sandra Bullock at the end, since that would have happened in every other american love story. This movie was good, and deserves alot more.

I loved it. I think it depends on age/experience.

Notice that the older viewers appreciated this (the ending) movie much more than the younger. I watched it when I was around 23/24 and I thought the ending was a little sad BUT sorta ok. I wished Ben and Sandra's character's did get together of course but watching it a couple years later- I'm 27 now and I've had a couple experiences (ok one similiar to the movie) and I have to say the movie was close to perfect...

I DID like the movie. It wasn't your typical ending- and I liked that. And also liked how the movie drove home that just because there may be temptation doesn't mean that you just drop what you have. Especially since Ben didn't really know how good he had it until the very end. The ending monologue kind of ties up the way the movie ended too.

I can understand why some people wouldn't like it- both Ben and Bridgett were kind of unfaithful because they were having doubts, Ben came out looking like a big creep for most of the movie, but I think they both redeemed themselves at the end.

Since you asked. No. One more who hated it. I am in the my 60's first of all. This movie is so improbable. A guy from New York City flying to Savannah to get married, crashes, who cannot get his own rental car, is afraid to fly, at 6'2" is willing to sit in the back seat of a GEO all the way to Savannah with a creepy guy nobody would want to drive with. Come on! That alone is completely improbable. Then he gets on a bus and ends up off of it.Every couple he meets hates their marriage and tells him not to do it. Some he meets are old couples who are having affairs and are not married. This is a story written is juvenile and deserves the 5 it got or lower. I paid per view and wished I'd saved the 2.95 Needed 4 more re-writes. The only thing that was satisfying was the ending but not one other thing. I think it is good you liked it though.

I can't believe all the negative comments on this movie. I'm watching it again and this movie along with 28 Days are 2 of my favorite Sandra Bullock movies. People mention no chemistry? Ben Affleck has charming scenes with both actresses. Even if the end was a surprise, I still enjoy the movie.

I loved this movie. I have always responded to it. It's problem was its marketing: it was made to look like a regular run of the mill Rom-Com. It confused those who would normally go to see something like that, and kept deeper thinkers away.

I also think this flick deserves a lot more. It's a little diamond in the rough. I loved the hurricane metaphor: comes blazing in with no apologies, and when it's over, you still feel its presence and you don't forget.

Ben and Sarah both collided into each other because they needed to learn things on their journeys to their perspective destinations: both of which ended up were perfect.

Those that didn't "get" this movie probably wanted Charlize Theron's character to succeed in breaking up the marriage in Young Adult, haha.

I can't believe all the negative comments on here. This is one of my favortite movies for both actors (Sandra fans add 28 Days too). Maura Tierney is cute, love the road trip, music, surprise at the end. Don't agree with the haters. Maybe I'm just easy on rom-coms!
