personally, i felt that Robin Goodfellow (or Puck, whichever u prefer to say) had the most memorable lines, and defined the play the most, but that might be because, he along with Oberon (sorry i spelt it wrong) were the onyl 2 people that knew what was goin on the whole time. And his closing line to the play, has stayed with me, and i just really enjoyed how they closed it as saying, *if udont like the play, it never happened, think of it as a dream*

My favorite character is and always will be Helena! She is the most awesome character and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to play her! I love her monolouge when she says, "Wherefore was I to this keen mockery born. When, at your hands, did I deserve this scorn!" And then she says, "Is it not enough, is it not enough, young man, that I did never, no, nor never can deserve a sweet look fro Demetrius eye. Oh that a lady of one refused, should of another, therefore be abused!" It sooooo rocks. Next it would be Puck and the ending monolouge. "Give me your hand if we be friends, and Robin shall restore ammends." Pure beauty!

I agree with the rest and say that Bottom is the best male character. I had the opportunity and fortune to play him in an abridged and translated version of the story, and would absolutely jump at the chance to play him in a version performed entirely in Shakespeare's dialogue.

version of Demetrus-Demetria!!!

There are many great monologues. Puck's first and last one are good. Bottom when he wakes up thinking he is still rehearsing the play is a challenge. Another good one is Egeus' speech to Theseus. You see how Egeus is such an ass-kisser.
