Am I the only one who teared up a bit over Alonso at the end?

This has been discussed so many times over and over past few years, i agree that he burn out because of his EGO, but he wasn't a bad cop, especially these days, on streets of L.A., where NOONE obeys the rules, detectives like him ARE NEEDED, i felt sorry for him at the end, i really did. I will admit it, i always tear up a bit when he gets shot down by Russian scum.

I was happy to see him get tore up.

The entire movie builds up his karma and the ending cashes in on that.

The only thing I feel sorry for, is his kid.

I only felt sorry for the people that *beep* all over him, he led his partner to get killed by his own order, there is no going back after that.

I did a little, but it was a tragic ending...a man who let the world corrupt him (remember when he was drinking with Roger and he said Hoyt had that same look he did "trying to save the world...") and a family man(Mijo was great!).

I LOVE the score at the end and when the dispatcher spoke of Alonzo's death, it does strike a chord.
