Freon makes no sense (SPOILER ALERT!!)

It's like the writers of thie script didn't think further than their own nose, they didn't STOP to think about the implications, they didn't consider how things would play out if this or that. For example, that Tyler wants the cops to cut off _TYLER'S_OWN_BALLS_ makes absolutely no sense. Would a 'cool, hypersexual guy' like Tyler really masochistically want his own balls cut just because his annoying side persona says some stuff? REALLY?!

Here's another similar thing they ABSOLUTELY did not think about at all, or so it seems.

So the cop tells the narrator on the phone (AS IF that kind of thing would ever be so casually done by phone, they would DEFINITELY drag him to the police station to be properly interviewed) that someone sprayed FREON on his door lock, and..

.. WAIT! ..

-- HERE come the spoilers, you have been warned !! --

.. as we know who the culprit is, WHAT kind of sense does it make that he would have to spray freon to - whose lock is it again? That's right, _HIS_OWN_GOD_DAMN_LOCK_?

I mean, Tyler is not a separate entity with its own body, he is a spirit that visits the SAME, exact body the narrator uses, so he has access to the KEYS to the apartment 100% of the time, or as much of the time as he wants or chooses.

WHY the !@%&* would TYLER, of all people, EVER have to spray freon ANYWHERE?

HE HAS THE KEYS!! THEY ARE IN HIS OWN POCKET! WHAT THE *!€3*%&!?`

How little did they think about things before starting to make this movie..??
