Call me crazy, but I actually like this movie

The visuals are actually quite beautiful and impressive, and the plot, in terms of the object, its affect on people, and its concept of replenishing the universe I thought was pretty interesting and origional. The music is also very good, and although people would say that there is too much, the sex scenes in the zero-gravity "chamber" or whatever were actually pretty tastefully done. I don't know, what do you guys think? But if your gonna comment, please say something intelligent and worth reading and not just a bunch of comments like, "Your crazy, this movie sucks!"

Oh I dug the fooooook outta this moovie, especially after seeing it in an Non-SciFi channel channel where they didnt cut out every 5th scene, made more sense. They made Peter Facinelli into one of the creepiest crooks, thay slam you on the head with the character, plus use of prothetics and swapping with Knox White, they make him take on a whole bunch of physical changes... And he looks SO innocent when hes layin there naked in the Med Bay!

Your not crazy. This was a good movie. I just watched it again last night and I have to say, it's one of the better sci fi flicks out there. The overall concept presented in the movie (Fermi's Paradox) is just not something you come across too often in hollywood fair. The whole thing just worked for me.

Me too. I'll watch anything with Angela Bassett, and James Spader was uncharacteristically dark-haired and buff.

This movie, which generated a dismal feeling similar to Event Horizon, had left a non favorable impression on me when I saw it in theaters on it's debut release. I won't say much (running errands today) but for me, it is yet another dreadful production from Hollywood.

I just saw it, and i like it. I don't really enjoy SF movies, but this one was good. Except the part with the eyes at the end. That's kinda stupid idea. :D

I would like to have seen the results before all of the re-editing was done (I believe it was Francis Ford Coppola that re-edited). But for the most part, I thought there was potential but nothing was really memorable to me, other than the goofy sex scene in zero gravity. Not meaning to compare, but I thought Event Horizon was a million times better than this.

I'm just a guy that likes horror flicks.

Glad to see I was not crazy.....I liked this film, too. Bought the soundtrack and own the unrated director's cut on dvd. Of course I have a soft spot in my heart for Robin Tunney.....SEXY!!!!

I thought that this movie was pretty damn good. Just watched in youtube because I couldn't be bothered to stay up and watch it on Cinemax. Kind of wish I did because I got a cool TV, but great movie all around. Visuals, nudity. Great stuff.

Can't believe it has a 4.4.I knew the score beforehand but I ended up watching it because it was in hd and it had a decent cast.I really enjoyed it, Walter Hill was a bit harsh taking his name off it.

How did this get a 4.4? This movie is a classic sci-fi staple. It's practically the same concept as Dead Space with out the necromorphs.

This movie was 7.5 well actually 9.5 for showing Robin's beautiful breasts and her wonderful lips. ;)

Seriously, I think the guy saying a lot of people have voted low due to the low cash flow brought in by this movie and the directors who didn't feel proud about it.

I like it a lot even without Robin it would have been good, with her it was even better.

Only think was the mysterious amount of dimension job boxes.... didn't leave a lot of room for actually carrying patients. :)

Saw it yesterday and I enjoyed a lot, I think it deserves at least 6.

I liked everything about this movie ... the plot, the cast, the visuals, the directing .... even the twisted humor with the robot.

It was a lot like watching a Star Trek original series episode, and a lot of the concepts seemed borrowed from it.

Kick ass movie.

I see a lot of space station/spaceships movies and this is honestly not so bad. The script ended up being a mess because it was changed so much to satisfy idiots they use for tests before movies are done so it's bits and pieces and the tone is uneven so it lacks consistency. But then again Sunshine has much better reviews, a better imdb score and it's vastly disappointing.

Totally agree about Sunshine. I enjoyed Supernova - not great, but enjoyable hockum.

Glad all you "Supernova" lovers found each other-hard to believe FFC had anything to do with this movie- I couldn't make it through ninety minutes- I guess I just don't have the intestinal fortitude needed for deep space travel.

You're not crazy--this is another reason to ignore the popular opinion/ratings on IMDB. I enjoyed this more than quite a few movies which have a +7 rating on here.

The visuals were great for the year, the music emotive but not over the top, the acting was natural, the story had cohesion and at least attempted to be cerebral, and all in all I would watch this again before I'd ever put on half the superhero movie franchises (Batman, Superman, etc).

I like this movie alot. I know it's not on many people's top 100 list but I still really like it! Visually it is stimulating and the story is a bit off but it's not like the worst sci-fi movie ever made lol

I really enjoyed this movie and have it on dvd as well, the deleted scenes did improve the film and its a shame that they didnt use the extra scenes to make it better, but i still really liked it, I loved the effects and music and it wasnt a bad story either.

I agree with you about the movie and have it on DVD too.

If we can save humanity, we become the caretakers of the world
