The most underated movie I have seen in my life

Seriously, it was so well acted. The plot was really dark and it gave me nightmares and think if the world is really that *beep* I really hated the fact that it was rated so low.

I totally agree. It's one of my favorite films and is definetly Joel Schumacher's best film. I think the subject matter was to much for people to think about and they were emotionally closed off or shutdown to the film before they saw it. Plus I think people think that if they actually like the movie then something must be wrong with them which is not true. It's so funny to me that people love the movie Seven yet don't like this. It's written by the same screenwriter! Both films deal with very dark subject matter.

Well acted????????????? Cage is HORRIBLE

Couldn't believe the score when I saw it. One of my favorite films of the 90's, with such great roles by Gandolfini, Phoenix, etc...

Agreed. This is one of my top 5 favorite films of all time. It's very dark subject matter but it has a grit to it that is hard to replicate in many other films I've seen. There's just something about the journey Wells goes on to pinpoint this girl's murder and those responsible. It draws you into this world that only exists beneath the surface and for those who appreciate this film, keep re-watching to acknowledge every element it brings to the screen.

It was intense and it stays with you. Makes you angry that world is really this fkd up. These monsters are hiding among us.

I agree, especially the 2nd half.

I really don't see why this film didn't get such great reviews, sure it's not Oscar worthy but it's still solid and has nothing wrong with it.

I agree! A high quality thriller!

I agree. Schumacer (s.p.) was a really hit or miss director, but he got it right with this one. A surprisingly dark movie for a mainstream release.
