FORGET THIS MOVIE!

Just pretend it never happened, it was a bad dream, or an unboiled piece of meat. Just simply forget the dreadful thing! It was a mistake!

This message has been brought to you by 20th Century Fox.

Now, go see RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES.

reply

It did happen. Deal with it.

reply

Maybe you take movies too seriously if you have to go through all of that trouble over something like a film you didn't happen to like.

I liked this film pretty well, but I really loved Rise of the Planet of the Apes. There is room to like both, so stop acting so foolish over a film. Surely you have more important things in life to worry about?

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

If you took a gigantic dump, it still wouldn't stink half as much as this movie still stinks after a decade.

Evolution is a scientific fact, and so is the fact that this movie is the biggest turd on the planet.

Fox should burn every copy they can get back.

Sorry, what are you: ten-years-old? Seriously, grow up. You don't like this film, that's fine with me and I can understand why you'd dislike it even if I don't mind it (notice that I don't say it was great or anything, just I don't hate it). Your first post was to ask people to forget this film (the title in all-caps), yet you bump this thread. You can't seem to forget it yourself, so why demand others do what you can't? Irony lost on you? Pity, because irony is a great thing used in the original film.

Instead of demeaning yourself here (I'm sure you've got better things to do with your time seeing you hate this film), and instead of watching Rise (good film, but not that great... pales in comparison to the original film and most of its sequels, IMO), watch the masterpiece that's the original.

Now after you've done that, you can forget this film and let others have the choice whether they want to do so or not. That's the adult thing to do...

20th Century Fox WANTS you to forget this movie!

Seriously, YOU grow up and stop definding this huge mistake of a movie. Of course, it won't be forgotten, thanks to people like you, but it damn well should be. Everyone involved with it has forgotten it. Most of the cast and crew won't even talk about it any more except to say -- IT WAS A MISTAKE!!!!

Grow up AND GET WISE and stop wasting your time with this turkey.

I don't care whether Fox wants me or doesn't want me to forget this film, I'm not some unthinking slave to a corporation. Are you?

Keep on bumping this thread, it sure is self-defeating. Not only that, each time you bump the thread, you risk someone replying, thereby the film being remembered that bit more. The irony is delicious.

Grow up AND GET WISE and stop wasting your time with this turkey.

Well, I'm quite confident that when people look at this thread, they'll know who's acting like a child. Also, I'll be my own judge for what is a turkey or not, and whether I should waste time on it.

Judging from the attention you're giving this film, I'd even wager that you secretly admire it. Maybe you're into reverse psychology. It wouldn't be the first time that someone has tried that stunt. Well, if you are, you seem to be giving this film attention. No such thing as bad publicity, etc.

So, you idiots actually think this movie is worth remembering? Boy, have you all got bad taste. With people like you around, I can see why the human race will eventually go extinct. Idiots breeding more idiots, and idiots that think Burton's POTA has some redeeming value. Not even Rick Baker would agree with you. This movie is one of the biggest stinkers in Hollywood history.

How can we forget, seeing it's you who keeps bringing attention to it.

Boy, have you all got bad taste.

Maybe; maybe not. But then there's a good bet that your taste isn't worth shouting about, either (not that I want to know, BTW).

With people like you around, I can see why the human race will eventually go extinct.

Well, seeing you posted in this thread about "turds" and "dumps", then you've at least won the race to the lowest common denominator. Kudos.

Idiots breeding more idiots,

So, how's your mother? I hope she's doing well.

Well, at least it's giving you something to do. Anyway, keep bumping.

Rise of planet of the apes SUCKED! If i want to watch a cartoon, I will watch one. I did not see this tim burton version but it can't be worse then the new POS.

reply

It's hard to take simpleton "it sucked" posts seriously. Just saying. If you can't be bothered to type anything other than that, then why even bother posting at all? You haven't even seen this movie, so no one cares about your drivel.

reply

This is a weak film, but a respectable one.

Tim Burton could have churned out a remake of the classic Heston film, but he chose not to do that and instead give us an original take on a similar concept.

Did it work? Nope. And it's not a very good film. And I have no desire to watch it again. But I totally respect what Burton was trying to do. In my mind that makes this film a noble failure.

I really liked this movie, the only bad thing was the "rock n' roll" apes...

But still, we had the hippies monkey in the second one xD

reply

I completely agree with OP. This abortion of a movie should have never happened. This is an excellent example of why they should stop with the remakes. Burton really needs to stick to original works and stop ruining my childhood favorites.

reply

Gotta agree with the guy who's slamming this movie, in the sense that it's an already-forgotten and quite forgettable hunk of excrement. It never should have been made, and it is an abomination.

reply

This sucked the life out of everything that made the original good. Americans really cannot help themselves when they think they have a cash cow on their hands. Thank god some of the fans actually chose to use their common sense!

reply

This opinion sounds like mine ;)))
