What was your most-hated teacher called?

Let's have a naming-and-shaming game, they picked on us when we were too young to answer back - who was your Mrs. Tingle?!

Name: Mr. Robinson

Subject: RE.

Grade/Year: Five and Six.

Why: Because he always picked on me, made things up so he could tell me off and blamed things (that I hadn't done!) on me.

What were yours?

Name: Ms. Docherty

Grade: Twelve

Why: I had a problem with keeping up with the teacher when she made us take notes, as I couldn't write fast enough to keep up with her, so I had made a deal with the principal to let me use my laptop. I asked Ms. Docherty about it before the next year started and she said that was no problem. Then, shortly after the semester began, she told me to stop using it as she was bothered by "the clacking of the keys". (meanwhile I am literally way in the back of the class and those who are familiar with laptops even at all know the keys are not very loud); I had explained to her that she had allowed me to use it and she had said she changed her mind. I had explained to her why I needed it, but she told me she didn't care and ordered me to use pen and paper instead. I went over her head and got a note from the principcal. With the note from the principal, there was nothing she could do, but, since then, she was targeting me. When we had received our mid-semester marks, she had told me that, even though I got 30-something in the class, she gave me a 50 (which was a passing mark). I was thankful to her and had jokingly said, "Y'know, for a while there, I thought you kinda had it in for me!"

Apparently she couldn't take a joke as, when I was in the Vice Principal's office another time, she brought it up to her as if I was serious.

Another moment with her I can remember is we were performing monologues and one of the girls was doing a monologue where she was playing a prostitute. Now, having recently gotten into "NYPD Blue", I was up on the terminology, so when she was using it in her monlogue, I was chuckling quietly to myself, although, that seemed to have bothered the teacher, though the girl showed no signs of annoyance, however my teacher proclaimed, loudly, in front of the entire class that "I should just duct-tape my mouth shut." After the class (just to see if she was serious), I had casually asked her, "What color of duct-tape did you want me to use? Silver or gray?" Without missing a beat and as serious as anything, she said, "Oh, gray's perfect." I said, "Okay." and left.

By then I knew I couldn't take her anymore, so I tried to get out of class by faking laryngitis (all I did was not speak and verbalize my thoughts through a notebook). It turned out that, even when I wasn't speaking to her, we got into it. I had explained that I had a serious problem with her and the way she treated me and she had jumped to the conclusion that the main reason I had a problem with her was simply because she was a woman, to which I had written to her that that was not true, as I have had many female teachers and we have gotten along very well.

I was also having my issues with the Vice Principal that same year, but that's another story for another time.

Mr. Roman was a horrible person and loved to belittle everyone in sight. He filled in for my algebra teacher while she was taking care of her newborn, but literally everyone's grade dropped when he filled in for her. He was uncaring, cold, and just vile. The other person was Mr.Patel; what a bastard son of a bĂtch! He made fun of everyone, take people's food, leave the room randomly for about ten minutes, he just did everything so poorly and made us all miserable.
I'm feeling rough, I'm feeling raw, I'm in the prime of my life.

Name: Ms. Haber
Subject: Math
Grade: 9th and 12th again unfortunately
Why: Not going to lie some of my hate towards her was/is probably due to the fact that I am not the best at math and she was really good and would rub it in students' faces. She also showed blatant favoritism towards certain kids and was rude to the ones that she wasn't "close" with. Also was a bit of a bully pushing certain students until it got to the point where she would write them up for no reason. Sadly my brother had her as well and experienced this and my dad didn't believe him when we told him how she acts towards some of her students.

Name: Mr. Madsen
Subject: PE and Health
Grade: 8th
Why: I run funny. Doing the physical fitness tests in front of my classmates in elementary and middle school was hell. It was made even worse in 8th grade when I was not only being laughed at by 2 of my *beep* classmates in the stands but turned to see the teacher whom is supposed to be the adult laughing at me as well. That made me want to crawl into a ball and die.

Only 2 teachers out of what K-12 and 3 1/2 years of college that I truly would never want to encounter again. Not bad.

Whoops can't believe I forgot a horrid substitute teacher named Ms. Oz I had quite a few times in elementary school. I thought that she was just rude towards us because she hated kids or something. When I worked at a grocery store I had her as a customer a couple of times she is just an all around nasty rude person it seems.

This was a very long time ago before LGBT rights came into play. Her name was Miss Fitzgerald and she was a racist AND homophobic bitch.
She was a school counselor and I confided to her PRIVATLEY about my sexual orientation being a bisexual. Keep in mind I was 16 at the time and just came out to her. She was the only person I revealed my secret life to.
She called my parents and told them and reccomended I get therapy to become straight.
And she also said she was concerned about me dating an Asian.
So not only was she "disgusted" by my bisexuality but also that I was dating a Chinese person.

I read that she kicked the bucket recently.
She never married and no surviving relatives or friends were mentioned in her obit.
She died alone in a hospice.

Name: Mrs DiCenzo

Subject: General Ed

Grade/Year: 4th

Why: She was one of those teachers who only worked anymore because it was all she knew. From the day I transferred into her class in the last half of the year (Thanks, Military, for that!), she had it out for me. She ruined school for me, and made me just stop caring about achieving anymore, when prior to her, I had been a straight A student. I had never gotten a SINGLE disciplinary action prior to going into her class, but thanks to her, I had at least a detention a week, and got suspended for something I didn't do because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She would call me out CONSTANTLY in front of the entire class. Not one teacher before or after her was as vile, hateful or - frankly - EVIL as that woman.

I almost failed a grade. Everyone around me knew I shouldn't fail the the grade. Basically, the work was over 2x the skill level of the average person in the grade. It was like trudging through quicksand that year, for 9 miles, and FINALLY making it on land.

And yes, it was the teacher's fault. I could not protest the assignments and they were assigned/put across in such a way that neither could anyone else. The only people that did well in that grade were the people that were above average in academic natural talent.

I've had a lot of teachers through the years and I liked nearly all of them...except three. All three women. These I genuinely hated.

First one...her name was Ylva or something like that..a music teacher in 3rd grade. I was quite innocent back then, but talked a bit too loud at times, which was enough for her to display nothing but hatred of me and try to destroy my self-image.

The second one...also a female music teacher, but in 4th to 6th grade. Ms Adams. This one showed kindness at times, but she..........eh, actually I don't blame her. I was a massive *beep* to her.

The third(or second) one....German teacher. High school. I don't remember her name even though she was the most recent one. But she was a *beep* who gave us more home lessons than all the other teachers combined and showed no understanding or sensibility, which lead to pretty much everybody failing that class. She then became my main teacher and English teacher, and that was it..I changed route.

I've had a few Mrs. Tingles in my life. Let's see..

Name: Mrs. Sullivan

Subject: Homeroom (All Subjects)

Grade/Year:
2nd grade

Why: I was going through seizures and heat strokes all the time and I lived in Arizona which sucked because it made me sick a lot more.

One day I was mid-seizure and she yelled at me to read. I didn't respond and she ran over there and yelled at me, grabbing my book and slamming it over and over in front of me. I got sick and vomited on her. She growled at me, grabbed me by the arm, pulled me out of the desk and dragged me into the hallway and told me to go to the office despite me having a seizure.

She did this as well as picked on me for my hearing and speech problems associated with my conditions. My mom got pissed once I was brave enough to speak up and put me into another class.

TL;DR?: She would abuse me while I had seizures or was sick, picked on me for my disabilities, and did all she could to make sure my life was hell.

Name:
Miss Simpson

Subject:
Homeroom (All Subjects)

Grade/Year:
3rd grade

Why: She was really religious and uptight about everything. Because I was sick and my mom was used to me getting picked on, she told me to stand up for myself and to just be my happy self. Well, the teacher didn't like how I viewed things and how I talked.

One time in class during writing, she asked us to tell her what we did that morning. It just so happened that a train had hit someone's dog and it got hurt, but didn't die. I mentioned that and she got so distraught that she put me under her desk for detention every day for a week in order to teach me not to say such horrid things.

Then she tried to punish me for not being very lady-like after I had a seizure on the playground and woke up to find a kid touching my chest and I punched him. Luckily one teacher saw it and told her I was going home instead of getting detention because I had just had a seizure and didn't need that.

I got punished a lot for being outspoken or immoral or unlady-like or unreligious like her. We were in a public school, mind you. Separation of church and school. But, you know...

TL;DR?: Applied her own morals/beliefs to me and thus felt I should live by her standards. And, when I didn't (which was always) she punished me and gave me detention, going so far as to try to punish me for punching a kid who was touching me wrongly while I had a seizure by saying it was unlady-like of me.

Name:
Mr. Williams

Subject:
Physical Education

Grade/Year:
9th/10th Grade

Why:So, by this time, my seizures and heatstrokes have been gone which was truly a miracle. I was super happy to be free of them! But, it was discovered that my medicinse and birth were the cause of them and they also gave me something new- bone problems and deformities. My right elbow broke for no reason and I had to have a major surgery that caused it to lose strength and range of motion after 2 years of recovery time. So, I'm not as strong as the other kids were. I couldn't do push ups or pull ups or lift a lot and I had arthritis.

Well, this P.E teacher was both sexist, a pervert, and prejudice against people like me with disabilities.

He would make us girls run laps and let the guys stand around and just watch us. The guys never had to do laps or do exercises in front of the class like he made us girls do.

He would let the guys try to block us from entering the hallways when we had to run laps inside due to rain, thus it would lead to unwanted touching. The guys would grab us in places they shouldn't and we would get pissed and tell the principal, but no one ever got into trouble. On top of him letting the guys do this, he would touch us girls inappropriately, too. We'd do archery and he'd come up to show us, but would have his hands on our hips or play with our hair. It creeped us out, but none of us could get the school to do anything about it.

When it came to my injuries, he would try his hardest to force me to do push up and pull ups despite me having a doctor's note and telling him I can't. If it wasn't for my friend who was very tall and stuck up for me, he probably would never have backed down. The worst time though came when we were doing archery. As I mentioned, I'm not strong. The teacher gave all the low strength bows to the guys and forced us women to use the high strength ones. I tried my hardest, but I couldn't fully pull the string back. He decides to get mad at me and call me cripple and tells me to get out of his class and go to the office. So, I did... along with, like, 15 other girls who had decided it was enough. We all got put into conditioning B, a "special" P.E for people with disabilities.

The good thing is, he eventually did get caught and got fired. A friend of mine who was in middle school had come to visit me and ended up catching him doing the same stuff he did to my friends and I and, after putting what we told her and what she saw together, she went to the principal and they finally got rid of him.

TL;DR?:Sexist, Prejudice, and a Pervert. He made the girls exercise for the guys while the guys got to just stand there and watch. He would touch us in ways that were inappropriate and let guys do the same to us in class. He forced me to do things I couldn't physically do due to my bad arms and then proceeded to call me crippled and kicked me from the class when he deliberately made me do something I couldn't do. Luckily, he got his just desserts and actually got caught and fired.

Name: Chef Crossthwaite

Subject: Culinary Arts

Grade/Year:
College Years 1-3

Why: He started out like a nice and new teacher always does, but then became rude and hateful towards me after he messed up. He tried to bar me from the culinary program for not having a food handler's card. I did, but the company I got mine from wouldn't let me print it. The other teachers and the school head told him to apologize. He did and then treated me like crap every day after that. Him and one other teacher are the reasons college was hell for me and I was super depressed.

He would deliberately choose me to answer questions every time, would surround me while we were learning things and force me to do things such as cutting up a fish or a chicken for the first time for the class even though I didn't know how to do it and then would get mad and embarrass me when I did it wrong. He would make jokes in front of large groups in order to embarrass me and loved talking down to me.

One time, he actually screamed bloody murder at my husband and threw a knife across the classroom and chased him out of the class. It was lunch time and a bunch of students and their friends were in the class together eating. My husband came in to eat with me and for no apparent reason my teacher just snapped at him.

TL;DR?: He was an overall a|s|s to me for the rest of my school years after he made a mistake on the first day and was forced to apologize to me in front of the other students.

Name: "Dr." Lisa

Subject: Hospitality

Grade/Year:
College Years 1-3

Why: First off, her name. She isn't a doctor in the literal term. She has a doctorates in hospitality. She stressed that you call her that and give her the respect that she deserves... or you got detention. Seriously.

She would come into the kitchen and make fun of how we cooked and did things despite having told us that she's never cooked a day in her life and only eats out. She would grade our cooking and try to flunk us for not cooking with flair for the public.

She made fun of me for being a third year in a two year program, stating that me needing to go a year longer due to finances is pathetic and that she hates third years, telling me that "you are going nowhere in life, sweetheart".

She flunked me in my last hospitality class because my printer messed up one paper on my final project and she couldn't read it, thus I failed the whole year.

She is the other teacher that made my life hell in college.

TL;DR?: She's a rich b|i|t|c|h. She flunked people based on their cooking, despite having never cooked in her whole life. She made fun of people for being poor.
