Could 'Chubby Rain' work if...

it was given a large budget, A list actors, Christopher Nolan as director and given a new title?

I mean would a film about aliens hiding themselves in raindrops actually work if they made it as a huge summer blockbuster?

That's like asking if PLAN 9 could've been good. I doubt it, because the script (the foundation) of both movies suck. For God's sakes, an accountant wrote it.

A director like Nolan wouldn't have agreed to either script. But if he had, he would've tried to re-write it, to the point where it becomes an entirely different movie.

With movies like The Happening, who knows what could pass as a blockbuster.

"Chubby Rain" has already been made, they just called it The Invasion, starring Nicole Kidman and
Daniel Craig.
Its about an alien virus that is contracted through liquids. Once the person falls asleep, the virus rewrites human DNA and takes over the human body like that.

"Aliens in raindrops" reminds me of opening of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), where you see the alien spores infecting plants in a liquid form.

If they were going to make something like this, they should do the opposite of what you said.

Make it a campy b-movie. Then, it might at least be funny. Producing the movie without irony, wouldn't be as entertaining.
