The Jamoke at the Bar

You know, I've been a Yankee fan since 1958, I can name a Yankee for every number.

Oh God, please don't.

#1 - Bobby Richardson, Billy Martin
#2 - Frank "The Crow" Crosetti, Bobby Murcer
#3 - The Babe
#4 - Gehrig
#5 - DiMaggio

I know it was 1999, but no Jeter?

Nobody will wear #2 again for the Yankees, that is a fact.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

In 1999, Jeter was a nice player on a dynasty team. But the jamoke was naming the legendary Yankee players to wear those numbers up to that point. At the time, both Nomah and A-Hole were considered the better shortstops. Jeter earned his legendary status later by maintaining an excellent offensive career along with an almost unreal penchant for coming up with big hits or big defensive plays in big games.

If that movie was made a few years later, he'd have mentioned Jetes.
