A rare and overlooked stoner-comedy / psychedelic-drama

From the obvious stoner-related title of the film, Bongwater...I assumed this was going to be nothing more than another directionless stoner flick. But I was surprised to find out that this film is more than just a stoner-comedy. It has a mixture of many elements; comedy, dark humor, drama, sadness, etc. There were actually some parts of the film that were kind of eerie. But that's what I liked about this film. Is it a high quality motion picture? No, probably not. But it was really different and in some sense, unique. I don't think I've ever seen a stoner flick quite like it. And it's strange watching Luke Wilson in a film like this. It was also cool seeing Jack Black and Kyle Gass in the film. Brittney Murphy and Jamie Kennedy were also in it. For a low budge stoner flick, this film had an interesting cast.
