Joke question. Have you ever experienced all or any of the events portrayed in this movie?

Like, for instance, your brother arrived with a suitcase full of drugs. You had some unscrupulous gangster characters after you. You had to fight off some of them and possibly kill them. You had a gorgeous wife who had no idea of what you did, maybe you worked as a drug dealer (haha).

You had a crazy chick like Dallas arrive on some posh hi-tech ultra-expensive sports car to your home. You were seeing a psychiatrist.

NOT meaning to touch on an ultra-sensitive issue like that in any way, but maybe, and just like portrayed in THIS movie, such crazy chick also err *e*uall* assaulted you while you were made by her alone to tie to a chair. Perhaps there's difference or not much to other (related) scenarios (and no offense to anyone, and let's not get too carried away here please either) but let's say you survived it but a guy came upon and started to physically torture you after shooting said chick.

You also had to get a frying pan out of a fridge instead of a gun. You had a cop arrive at your door with severed head. And you put all those bodies in bin bags in 1998 or so and no-one noticed.

Not to mention other details like arguments with a storekeeper over a price of a cup of coffee.

Let's not take it too seriously. And even if you didn't, could events like these happen in reality any close to how they were portrayed in this movie? Cheers.

I kind of got the impression by the way that this movie, despite having a fairly substantial amount of violence, strong language, adult themes, a particularly controversial scene and other bits and pieces, isn't meant to be taken too seriously and practically comes across as a satire and even a slightly more light-hearted and light-headed version of Quentin Tarantino's work.

In many ways, its almost like a parody and a satire of, American and otherwise, gangster thriller flicks. And it actually is a very good movie overall, not quite a masterpiece, but very much worth seeing nonetheless for those of us into that sort of stuff.

In some other ways, Thursday is actually like a more adult version of other 90s post Tarantino crime comedy flicks like "Excess Baggage" (1997).

And I suppose with a group of friends, haha, we can play some of the scenes mentioned in this movie like that like kids with toy guns, lol, and in others, just pretend haha.
