Child Nudity in bathhouse

That scene where Sanya is nude was shattering for me. I don't know why, but whether that is fair for little boy?

You just have to accept there are cultural differences here... In some situations, maybe like a bathhouse or a sweatlodge- the nudity is not a thing to fret over...

Nobody notices the sober Indians. On tv the drunk Indians emote In books drunk Indians philosophize

Or even the people in places like the Amazon etc who tend to walk around and run around nude in the forests.

The O.P. obviously suggests that the boy should learn that people are supposed to bath and wash themselves fully clothed. Or even better not wash themselves at all. That would contribute to the sanity of the world we live in today.

2 przgzr - I think the OP simply meant to say that they believe showing child nudity on film in any context is at best rather inappropriate, but how wrong are they, in your opinion?

does this mean that Pretty baby is not in your Top 10?

Who cares about stairs? The main thing is ice cream.

It might mean that, but then again, maybe the user isn't a fan of that movie for other reasons like technical aspects or plot etc, and I guess they would find the two "Lolita" movies not quite for them either but maybe not, and then there is this one movie from the 70s that I would rather not mention out loud, but many folks aren't fans of it either even if they aren't terribly offended by it.

P.S. I do appreciate Pretty Baby as a film, but it wouldn't make my even top 100 movies let alone top ten, but in my opinion and case, there are just better and more worthy movies to make something as small as my top 10 favorites EVER list.

And 2 Psycho Dingo and others, not trying to tell you all what to do but I wonder...

Why not reply on a more optimistic note along the lines of how "We shouldn't worry too much around here"?

reply

I think there wasn't anything, and many also felt this way especially filmmakers, too obscene and inappropriate around that, and it was brief, set in a bathhouse and cinematically just added to authenticity.
