Attempts to compensate with dramatic audio

Another indication of a bad movie is the over-use of audio, such as to try to make something more dramatic than it really is. For example, just reading a letter is made very dramatic with some tense audio.

I looked at the writer and producer. The movie "The Arrival" was written by David Twohy, who has written 22 other movies. This movie was written by Mark David Perry, who has written 3 other movies, one of which is a documentary, and the TV series, "Are You Afraid of the Dark?". The TV series was a success.

The producer of "The Arrival" was Live Entertainment, among others. They produced 23 other movies. This movie was produced by Rootbeer Films, among others and this is the only movie they have ever produced. They probably lost a bunch of money on it.

Yes, the music had a bit of a The Outer Limits, TV-style feel to it.
