Deleted Scenes that weren't on the DVD

Judging by some trailer/tv spots. There are several scenes that were deleted but are seen in the trailer. A scene where the commandos armed with grappling hooks run across the humans & fire them. This is shown in many of the films trailers & TV Spots including the Burger King Commercial Butch Meathook causing the Abernathy House to explode. Seen in the trailers. I heard some rumors that Small Soldiers was going to be more violent & mature originally but was toned down for marketing. Has anybody seen these bits?

It's possible they were just scenes for the trailer, but it's possible there's additional scenes that were excised. I'd be curious to see the original more violent cut.

6 years late, but i've read that some of these scenes you're talking about were filmed specifically for the trailers. the producers felt the footage of the movie was too intense for the trailers, so they made some random shots to make it look more kid friendly. you'll notice the CGI in a lot of the unused shots look way worse than the CGI in the movie.
