X-Men 1.5 or the Extended Cut

I think they should restore this film and release it in extended cut format. I know you can watch the 1.5 version by using interactive icons crudely inserting work print footage, but that just gives you a taste of what it should be.

This and TLS deserve extended cuts.

I don't remember anything that interesting in the deleted scenes. Most of it was scenes that were used in the montage as Xavier explains the Xmen. It's neat to see the scenes as they were filmed in whole, but I don't think having them in their complete form would really add to the film.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

I would like to see that happen too.

I thought most of the deleted scenes were pretty trivial and even repetitive and removal of most actually improved the pace (for example the extra scenes have Rogue and Bobby agreeing to go to dinner and then walking back from dinner and agreeing to have breakfast rather than just having Bobby later mention they'd agreed to meet for breakfast). There's a nice scene between Xavier and Jean but it does take a little away from the later reveal of Cerebro to Wolverine and another one between Storm and Rogue (although Storm's accent is really strong, more than in the other scenes) but it kind of contradicts Xavier's claim that Rogue is already adjusting well.

I wish Corey Yuen's fight choreography remained intact.
