It's one of my faves

Thank you for making this Todd Haynes.

yeah me too. Saw it in a movie theatre and LOVED it, have been watching it over and over again now on Amazon Prime. Still love it. Crackling dialogue, great performers, wonderful soundtrack, what's not to love?

It's definitely aging well like a fine wine. It's flawed but it's got far more positives then negatives. Jonathan Rhys Meyers does make for a great Bowie Clone, i can see why Bowie declined for his songs to be used (not having them is a massive blow to the film, as he was the best thing in Glam) it clearly based on his life and it doesn't show him in the greatest light, been a user, abuser, flaky and worse of all a sell out.

Ewan Mcgregor does a good Iggy, and steals the film. Toni Collette does a good Angie Bowie and she always delivers in her roles. Christian Bale isn't quite at his intense best but especially in Arthur's flashback scenes he really gives the role a ton of heart. The soundtrack is fantastic even without Bowie songs. I like the nods to Citizen Kane. I think it's one of Todd Haynes underrated films.
