Everytime i see or think about this movie i think it should be regarded as a great classic action adventure movie.

All the actors are great (Anthony Hopkins is exquisite) the story is great, the pacing is great, the action is great, the chemistry between Catherine and Banderas is great..

Everything about this movie is great!

Unfortunately i don't think there's a lot of people who are familiar with it!

I come here it only has 6.7 .. I think this is completely unfair.

I thought the same thing. 6.7? Wha-??? This movie brought to mind the swashbuckler and sword films of the silver screen. It had the same charm and same good characters and actors as some of the best of those older films. In other words, The Mask of Zorro '98 was just a good as The Mark of Zorro, starring Tyrone Power in 1940. The Banderas/Hopkins version deserves at least an "8" average rating.

Absolutely should be higher. My teenagers just watched it and loved it too.

It is an awesome movie and holds up get over time.
