I will never understand why this film was so poorly received. The performances were excellent and the concept was , and still is, relative. Perhaps, having been in graduate school is the basis for truly appreciating Krippendorf's Tribe? Wading through the butt-high political crap of the university system is certainly an education all its own; I went to get my PhD and learn cool stuff and ended up having to face mean-spirited and back-stabbing competition rather than a common love of learning. This is a Lily Tomlin classic. I know that it isn't possibly the most politically correct at times, but the slapstick, wacky comedy is a wonderful way to get a cheap laugh!
