I don't really know the behind the scenes on this movie of why they had to use multiple masks...does anyone know why they did use more than one mask and why they used CGI in part of the movie?

They mention at length in the new making of Halloween H20 featurette on the Blu Ray from the box set. Bottom line, they could never get it right and it showed. Too many cooks in that kitchen. I think they used 2 different mask makers 1 for the original filming and 1 for re-shoots. The CGi was because the scene was so dark and oddly filmed the real mask didn't look right, then the CGI looked worse, but they were out of time when editing it for the 20th anniversary release date of August. Had they waited til Oct. it might have been salvaged, no way to know.
